Impressed into bottom is the signature of maker. Real feather curl in rear of drake decoy. The head of the hen is is turned to the rear in a preening position. 1000-1500 375. Mallard pair by Clarence Jacobsgaard (1911-2005) of Gardner, IL. In excellent original unused condition. Hen has a tiny tight neck area check. Jacobsgaard is molded into the weight on the bottom. This talented carver is listed in Decoys and Decoy Carvers of Illinois by Parmalee and Loomis.
