Retains original rigging. 1000-1200 198. Rare rig mate pair of mallards by Gus Nelow (1874-1961) of Oshkosh and Omro, Wisconsin. Nicely carved with well executed bills. Excellent original paint and condition. Once rigged but used very sparingly if at all. As noted in “Decoys of The Winnebago Lakes” by Koch : While Nelow probably made as many as 8000 decoys he apparently only made about 150 mallards and these were produced during the early 1950’s. 500-750 199.
