16 906. Excellent canvasback drake from the upper Chesapeake Bay Maryland. Exquisite paint by Charlie Joiner 1921-2015 of Chestertown MD. on the bottom in Mr. Joiners hand Painted by Charlie Joiner Chestertown MD. 10102000. Bottom also has the brand of the Havre de Grace Museum and a brass plate with the number 2. As stated in a Memoriam by Chad Tragakis in the most recent issue of Decoy Magazine Charlie Speed Joiner was the last decoy maker of his generation who was admired for his incredible talent and equally humble disposition. Worn original paint on body and wings with probable touch up to head neck and breast. Wingspan measures approx. 32 . 200-400 908. Goose by Miles Hancock 1887-1974 of Chincoteague VA. One small run in the original paint on the left side. Collectors brand on bottom. In XOC. 750-900 909. Canada goose c1940 by Miles Hancock Chincoteague VA. Original paint with minor wear and flaking. Age check in filler at the neck join. 750-900 910. Canada goose in the Delaware River style. Collector information indicates that the carver is New Jerseys Art Birdsall. Original paint with light wear. Bottom retains the brass rig tag of Al Linkhorst West Trenton New Jersey. 400-600 911. Large goose attributed to the south shore of Massachusetts. Body measures about 23 overall. Two piece head and neck. Thin crack in bottom and old knot missing under tail probably dates to time of carving. May be all original. 200-300 912. Check in back and slight wear to tip off bill. Lightly hit by shot. Possibly by the Norton family. 200-300 917. Pair of mallard decoys wkeels and turned heads. Rig-mate pair of slightly oversized mallards possibly from Wisconsin. Drake is solid and hen is hollow with an applied bottom board. XOC. 200-350 918.
